For a player who has seen almost everything in Kenya’s gaming scene, Sunday must have felt special for Fox in the Box.
After enduring a difficult FC 26 season, veteran gamer Fox finally has a trophy to show for his efforts. And he didn’t just win it. He bulldozed his way to it.

The experienced player produced one of the most dominant tournament runs of the year to win SC Tournaments x Maximum 1.0, before edging out SC Esports star Ibrah in a thrilling Grand Final.

For many fans, it was a reminder of something they had almost forgotten. Fox is still a menace.
Fox in the Box Announces Himself in Brutal Fashion
From the very first match, Fox looked like a man on a mission. His opening opponent Murife quickly found himself overwhelmed as Fox stormed to an astonishing 8-1 victory.
If anyone thought that scoreline was a one-off, they were in for a surprise. Fox somehow turned things up another level in the next round, demolishing Padri 15-2 in one of the most ruthless performances of the tournament.

By that point, the rest of the bracket knew exactly what was coming. The veteran was here to conquer.
The quarter-finals brought Fox’s biggest test yet. Standing in his way was Tank, one of the most consistent FC 26 players in the country.
Many expected a close battle. Instead, Fox delivered another statement. He brushed Tank aside with a commanding 10-4 victory to book his place in the semifinals.
Waiting in the semifinals was Brayovin of Santiago Ehub. Brayovin had already put together an impressive campaign of his own. He defeated Jah Man 10-5 before crushing Mjukuu 8-2 to reach the final four.
His confidence was sky-high. But Fox wasn’t interested in fairy tales. The veteran controlled the match and secured a comfortable 3-1 victory to move one step closer to the trophy.
One match remained.
Ibrah Stands Between Fox and Glory
The Grand Final delivered exactly the matchup many fans wanted.
On one side was Fox in the Box, the veteran rediscovering his best form. On the other was SC Esports player Ibrah, one of the most consistent performers in FC 26 this season.
Ibrah’s path to the final had been impressive in its own right.
He defeated HD 9-6 before dispatching Dav8 9-5. In the semifinals, he survived a nail-biting battle against Mcoasty (Santiago Ehub), edging him 8-7 to reach the championship match.

Everything pointed towards a classic final. And that’s exactly what fans got.
Unlike many of Fox’s earlier matches, the final was anything but comfortable. Ibrah pushed him all the way.
For long periods, it looked like either player could walk away with the title. But when the pressure reached its highest point, Fox found a way.
The veteran edged out Ibrah 4-3 in a thrilling Grand Final to complete his remarkable tournament run and lift the SC Tournaments x Maximum 1.0 trophy.
After months of frustration, setbacks and near misses, the victory felt like a statement. Fox in the Box is back.
