For weeks, he’s been knocking on the door. Semi-finals, close calls, and painful exits. But this time, everything finally clicked. The Africa 95 rated series has a new champion — and it’s a long-awaited one.
Ahmed26, one of East Africa’s most consistent EA Sports FC competitors, finally got his moment on Thursday night, completing a dominant run to lift his first title in the weekly online competition.

And he didn’t just win it — he earned it the hard way.

The tournament, which kicked off on Wednesday evening, once again brought together some of the region’s top talent.
Organized by Football Esports House (Kenya) in partnership with Paritek Uganda, the series has quietly become one of the most competitive weekly battlegrounds in East African FC, with KSh 8,000 for the winner and KSh 2,000 for the runner-up.
Names like Shaq, Trex, Prorate, Lil Pip, Hermes, Sahil, Bashir, and Aksam all stepped in — but this time, the spotlight belonged to Ahmed.
Africa 95 Rated Series: Ahmed’s Road to Redemption
Ahmed’s run started with a statement. A clean 3-0 win over Paritek set the tone, but things quickly escalated.
He followed it up with a ruthless 16-7 demolition of SC Esports’ Tank, before taking down Portuguese with an impressive 8-4 victory. At this point, it was clear — this wasn’t going to be another “almost” run.

Still, the pressure moments came.
A tight 7-6 win over Tanzania 1 Hermes tested his composure, but the real storyline came in the final — a rematch against his own teammate, Prorate.
Just a week ago, Prorate had completely outclassed Ahmed in the semi-finals, winning 9-1 and ending his run once again. It was another chapter in a frustrating pattern for the Mombasa-based player.
But this time, Ahmed flipped the script.
He edged the first leg 6-3, then held his nerve in a tense second leg to secure a 6-5 victory, sealing the title and finally breaking the cycle.
TR Esports Rivalry and Regional Pressure
The final wasn’t just about the trophy — it was about pride within TR Esports, one of the most feared teams in the East African FC scene.
Prorate came into the match as a two-time Africa Ultimate Series champion and is chasing history as the first player to win it three times. On the other side, Ahmed had the consistency but not the silverware — until now.

Elsewhere in the tournament, there were more big moments.
Lil Pip, another TR Esports star and two-time champion, saw his run end early after a heavy 9-2 defeat to Uganda’s Bashir, who continues to prove himself as one of the most dangerous players in the region.
Interestingly, Bashir was also the one who knocked Lil Pip out in last week’s semi-finals, showing real dominance in that matchup.
A Breakthrough That Feels Bigger Than One Title
For Ahmed26, this isn’t just another win — it’s a statement.
After multiple deep runs and repeated heartbreaks, he’s finally proven he can go all the way. And considering the level of competition in the Africa 95 rated series, that’s no small achievement.

If anything, this win could open the door for more.
Because now, the question has changed.
It’s no longer “Can Ahmed win it?” — it’s “Who’s stopping him next?”
