For Shaq, though, this was more than just another trophy. It was the perfect response after last weekend’s disappointment.
Shaq Wins Pelikan FIFA Tournament With Ruthless Performances
The road to the title was anything but easy. Playing in a single-elimination bracket, every mistake could have ended his day. Instead, Shaq looked sharper with every match, eliminating some of East Africa’s strongest competitors.
His tournament run included:
- Fox In The Box (Horizon Esports) — 12-5
- BrayoVin (Santiago eHub) — 6-5
- Kora (Mkuluu) — 11-6
- Dav8 (Santiago eHub) — 10-2
- Mcoasty (Santiago eHub) — 9-6 (Grand Final)
The tournament used a home-and-away format for each round, with aggregate scores deciding who advanced. By the time he reached the final, Shaq had already sent a clear message to the rest of the field.
Mcoasty Also Enjoyed an Outstanding Tournament
While Shaq grabbed the headlines, Mcoasty produced an equally impressive run to the final. The Santiago eHub captain battled through a difficult section of the bracket, defeating several household names before setting up the final against Shaq.

- Collo Gamer (Phoenix Esports) — 4-3
- Venom (SC Esports) — 6-4
- Sam Jr (Phoenix Esports) — 7-6
Those victories earned him a deserved place in the grand final, but Shaq proved too strong when the trophy was on the line.

Phoenix Esports Continue Their Incredible Momentum
Shaq’s victory also continues a dream spell for Phoenix Esports.
Just one week ago, Collo Gamer lifted the Phoenix Tournament title after joining the organization. Now Shaq has followed it up with another major trophy, giving Phoenix back-to-back tournament victories only two weeks after both stars arrived at the club. It’s an early statement that Phoenix’s new-look squad is already delivering results.

Why It Matters
The Pelikan FIFA Tournament showed just how competitive Kenya’s FC 26 scene has become. A field of 53 players, featuring names like Harry Kappa, Demon (John Cena), Collo Gamer, Mcoasty, Ibrah, Jojo Depay, Dav8 and Shaq, turned the event into one of the strongest local tournaments of the year.
For Shaq personally, the title is even bigger. After questions were raised following his early elimination at last weekend’s Phoenix Tournament, he answered in the best way possible; with dominant performances against top opposition and a championship trophy.
Shaq wins Pelikan FIFA tournament, reminding everyone why he remains one of East Africa’s elite FC 26 competitors. If Phoenix Esports continue this kind of form, they could become the team everyone is chasing in the coming weeks before we say goodbye to FC 27.
