And by the end of the night? Hermes didn’t just win. He sent a message.
The Making of Hermes vs Ado FC 26 Money Match
The highly anticipated FC 26 money match had originally been scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, but got pushed to Thursday night. That delay only made the tension worse. WhatsApp groups were buzzing.
Everyone wanted to see whether Kenya would continue dominating these money matches or if Tanzania would finally answer back.
For Hermes, this wasn’t just about cash. A few weeks ago, Shaq embarrassed him in a money match and walked away with an easy 15K. The story spread everywhere and the trolls followed immediately.

Since then, Hermes had been openly challenging anyone in East Africa to step up for Ksh 25,000. Phoenix Esports and Ado answered the call.
And honestly, many believed the Phoenix Esports player had a real chance. After all, Kenyan players have been running the scene lately. Ado himself had just crushed SahilM4 days earlier to pocket 5K and build serious momentum heading into this showdown.
But from the very first whistle, Hermes looked possessed.
How Hermes vs Ado Unfolded
Game one ended in complete destruction. Hermes tore through Ado 6-2 with ruthless attacking football that left viewers stunned.
Before Kenyan fans could even recover, he turned up the pressure in game two and smashed him 8-3. At that point, some fans were already cooking Ado alive.
Still, the third game gave fans hope.
Ado finally woke up. The match became chaotic, tense, and emotional — exactly what everyone wanted. Goals flying in from both sides. Momentum changing every few minutes. It genuinely felt like the turning point of the series.
Then heartbreak.
With Ado seconds away from victory, Hermes struck in the 92nd minute to force a 3-3 draw. You could almost feel the pain through the stream. That late equalizer completely killed Ado’s momentum.

To his credit though, he fought back in game four and edged Hermes 5-4 in another insane encounter. For a moment, it looked like the comeback might actually happen.
But Hermes had other plans.
The Tanzanian star came into the next game furious and absolutely destroyed Ado 9-4 in one of the most brutal scorelines we’ve seen in an East African FC money match. Every attack looked dangerous. Every mistake from Ado got punished immediately.
Tanzania 1 closed out the challenge in style with a dominant 5-1 win to seal the series and walk away with the full Ksh 50,000 prize money.
