Kenya Gaming Festival FC 26 ended with one of the most dramatic finishes you could ask for, as Shaq fought through the losers bracket, reset the grand final and then beat Dav8 of Santiago eHub again to claim the tournament.
The 18-year-old Phoenix Esports star had already been knocked away from the winners bracket earlier in the tournament. That could have been the end of his run. Instead, it became the beginning of the comeback.
With some of Kenya’s biggest FC 26 names in the 30-player field, the tournament had no shortage of firepower. Harry Kappa, Collo Gamer, Ado, Dav8, Tank, Ibrah, Scad, Ado, Lord7 and Jojo Depay were among the names in action.

But when everything was finally on the line, it came down to Shaq and Dav8. And Shaq simply refused to lose.

The Kenya Gaming Festival brought together several gaming communities for a major day of competition, with FC 26 among the games featured alongside titles such as eFootball Mobile, PUBG Mobile, Tekken 8 and Brawlhalla.

And in the winners-bracket final, Dav8 finally put an end to the run. Dav8 6-3 Collo Gamer. Dav8 was through to the grand final. Collo was heading to the losers bracket. And Shaq still had work to do.
Shaq’s Losers Bracket Comeback Begins
Shaq’s road to the final was far less comfortable. After losing to Collo, he was forced to fight through the losers bracket. His first major test there was Harry Kappa.
Two of Kenya’s most recognizable FC players were now fighting simply to stay alive. Shaq produced when it mattered. Shaq 8-3 Harry Kappa. Kappa was out. Shaq continued.
