Dav8 returns to Santiago eHub, ending a short stay at PlugnPlay Esports and completing a move that many fans probably did not expect to happen this quickly. For Santiago eHub, this feels less like a signing and more like bringing a family member back home.
The talented FC 26 player left the team in late April, citing a lack of appreciation from the team. At the time, the departure raised eyebrows across the Kenyan gaming community, with many wondering whether one of Santiago’s most recognizable stars had played his last match under the team’s banner.

Fast forward a couple of months, and the story has taken a dramatic turn. Dav8 is back. And judging by the reaction from Santiago eHub manager Suleiman, this is a reunion everyone inside the team is happy to see.
Why Dav8 Matters to Santiago eHub
Not every player leaves a lasting impact on a team. Dav8 did. Over the years, he became one of the faces of Santiago eHub and established himself as one of Kenya’s strongest FC competitors. His performances during the FC 26 season have only strengthened that reputation.
One of his biggest achievements this year came at the Kenya Esports Series Nakuru Edition, where he produced an impressive run to the final.
Along the way, he defeated several established players, before eventually falling 4-3 to Fab of Inner Circle in a closely contested final. That tournament reminded everyone just how dangerous Dav8 can be when he finds his rhythm. It’s also one of the reasons Santiago eHub never truly stopped valuing him.

The PlugnPlay Chapter Didn’t Last Long
When Dav8 joined PlugnPlay Esports, it looked like the start of an exciting new chapter. After all, PlugnPlay has been home to some of East Africa’s most recognizable names, including:
- Harry Kappa
- Sam Carter
- Haruun Haruun
- Lil Pip
Joining a team with that kind of history naturally generated excitement. But sometimes moves that look perfect on paper simply don’t last. Dav8’s stay at PlugnPlay ended after roughly two months, opening the door for a return to familiar surroundings. While details regarding contracts and negotiations remain private, one thing is clear. Santiago eHub wanted him back.
Suleiman Welcomes Back One of His Most Trusted Players
For manager Suleiman, the return is about much more than adding another player to the roster. Dav8 is viewed as one of the foundations of the team. Sources close to the team indicate that Suleiman has welcomed him back with open arms, seeing the reunion as a major boost for Santiago eHub’s ambitions moving forward.

That speaks volumes about how highly the player is regarded within the team. Not every former player gets a second chance. Not every manager is eager to reopen the door. In this case, both sides clearly saw value in working together again.
Why It Matters
Transfers happen all the time in esports. Returns like this are different. Dav8 returns to Santiago eHub at a time when the FC 26 competitive scene is becoming increasingly competitive, with teams constantly looking for ways to strengthen their squads.
For Santiago eHub, bringing back a player who already understands the team’s culture, expectations, and competitive goals could prove to be a smart move.
For Dav8, it offers an opportunity to continue building on an impressive FC 26 campaign with a team where he previously enjoyed some of his best moments. The biggest winners, however, might be the fans. Because one of Kenya’s most talented FC players is back where his story first took off.
Conclusion: A Familiar Face Returns Home
Dav8 returns to Santiago eHub, bringing an end to a brief chapter at PlugnPlay Esports and beginning a new one with the organization that helped shape his career. The reasons behind his departure may have created uncertainty earlier in the year, but those questions have now been replaced by excitement. Santiago eHub has welcomed back one of its most valued players. Now the focus shifts to what comes next.
