For days, the East African FC community had been waiting for this one. After calling Harry Kappa a fraud and questioning his achievements, Tanzanian star Hermes finally got the money match he wanted.

Hermes Starts Strong
The highly anticipated Kenya vs Tanzania showdown got off to a dream start for Hermes.
Fresh from his recent victory over Ado, the Tanzanian looked confident and hungry as he took the opening game to move 1-0 ahead in the series.
Kappa responded immediately in the second game, leveling the contest at 1-1 and reminding everyone why many still consider him Kenya’s FC GOAT.
But Hermes wasn’t done.
The Tanzanian reclaimed the lead in the third game, moving 2-1 ahead and putting himself within touching distance of a famous victory.

At that stage, many fans believed the momentum had shifted firmly in his favor.
They were wrong.
Kappa Finds Another Gear
With his back against the wall, Harry Kappa came alive. The Kenyan star won the fourth game to level the series at 2-2 and completely change the mood of the contest.
Then came the turning point. Then came the destruction.
Two Games, Zero Goals for Hermes
What happened next will be difficult for Hermes to forget.
Kappa won the fifth game 6-0. Hermes failed to score. Kappa then raised the intensity even further in the sixth game, cruising to a 5-0 victory. Again, Hermes failed to score.
Two consecutive games. Eleven goals conceded. Zero goals scored.
The player who had spent hours telling everyone that Kappa was a fraud suddenly found himself being completely overwhelmed.
By this point, the series had swung in Kappa’s favor. The Kenyan now led 3-2 and needed just one more victory to take home the Ksh 30,000 prize.
The Final Blow
If anyone expected Hermes to bounce back in the deciding match, Kappa quickly crushed those hopes.
The final game turned into another goal fest for the Kenyan star.
Kappa attacked relentlessly and once again exposed Hermes’ defense, eventually recording a commanding 7-4 victory.
The win sealed the series. The comeback was complete. And the money was heading to Kenya.
The Perfect Response
This wasn’t just another money match. There was history behind it.
Hermes had spent hours attacking Harry Kappa’s reputation, repeatedly questioning his achievements and insisting that he was the better player.
The comments sparked heated debate across the East African FC community. Now those debates have an answer.
Kappa didn’t respond with insults. He responded by winning four of the last five games.
He responded by scoring 18 goals across three matches. And most importantly, he responded by walking away with the Ksh 30,000 prize.
A Reminder of Greatness
For years, Harry Kappa has built a reputation as one of Kenya’s most accomplished FC players.
Tournament titles. International appearances. Historic winning streaks.
Tonight, he added another chapter to that legacy. Hermes asked for the match. Harry Kappa accepted.
And when the final whistle blew, the Kenyan legend was the one standing tall.
