Scad surgery is now the latest concern facing one of the familiar names in Kenya’s gaming community after the FC player developed worrying health symptoms over the weekend and was later taken to hospital.
Scad, a well known player in the Kenyan gaming scene, is expected to head to Kenyatta National Hospital tonight ahead of an urgent heart procedure scheduled for Thursday.
For a player usually seen competing in tournaments and celebrating wins, this is a very different kind of challenge.

What Happened to Scad?
According to the information Scad shared with East Gamers News, the problem started on Sunday, September 27, when he began experiencing chest pains, shortness of breath and nausea.

The symptoms continued, and on Tuesday, September 29, his father took him to hospital to have him examined.
Doctors then found signs of a heart attack and reduced blood flow, according to Scad, and recommended that he undergo a heart procedure.
The medical situation required further attention, and the procedure was initially scheduled for Friday morning at Kenyatta National Hospital.
Scad Surgery Has Been Brought Forward
The procedure was initially expected to take place on Friday because the doctor who was supposed to handle it was only expected to be available that day.
That changed after the doctor became available earlier. As a result, the procedure has now been moved forward to Thursday morning.

Scad will therefore go to the hospital tonight as he prepares for the procedure. The change has also added urgency to an already difficult situation for the player and his family.
A KSh 578,000 Medical Bill
While the focus right now is on getting Scad through the procedure, there is another challenge facing his family.
The medical bill currently stands at KSh 578,000.
That is a huge amount for any family to deal with, and Scad has asked the gaming community, friends and well wishers to stand with him during this difficult period.
Anyone who would like to support him can send their contribution through:

Scad’s message to the gaming community is simple.
He is asking for prayers and support.
A Familiar Face in Kenyan Gaming
For many people in the Kenyan gaming community, Scad is not just another player. He has built his name through competitive gaming and has been part of the scene for the past few years.
One of the biggest moments of his FC career came when he won the Safaricom Hook tournament, putting his name among the players capable of delivering when a major opportunity comes.
He was also among the winners recognised at the SC Awards, another sign of the reputation he has built within the gaming community.
Today, the conversation is very different. Instead of discussing his next tournament, fellow players are waiting to hear how he comes through his procedure.
Why It Matters to the Gaming Community

Gaming communities are often strongest when things are going well. Trophies are being lifted. Players are travelling. Teams are celebrating.
But the real strength of a community is also tested when one of its own needs support.
Scad has spent years building relationships across the Kenyan gaming scene, competing alongside many familiar faces and becoming part of a community that extends beyond individual tournaments.
For now, it is simply about making sure Scad and his family know that people are standing with them.
